Aspen Activities

Aside from the Welcome Party Friday night and the Wedding Celebration dinner & party Saturday night, this is your time to enjoy Aspen any way you wish, and we hope you take full advantage of this beautiful place. Here are the main attractions/activities we recommend:
White Water Rafting

White Water Rafting

(**Call Aspen Whitewater for a discount when you mention the Shea Wedding Party) Trips leave daily from the Inn At Aspen parking lot at 8:40am and return at 1:30pm – This is a perfect trip that gets you back in plenty of time to get ready for the festivities either Friday or Saturday.

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Otherwise, there are set tour times through Aspen Whitewater from their downtown Aspen location starting at 9am daily. Each trip is about 1.5 – 2 hours.

Bike Rentals

Gondola Ride Up Aspen Mountain

Gondola Ride Up Aspen Mountain

Take the Inn at Aspen shuttle to the ticketing office below the Gondola downtown to purchase tickets. At the top, enjoy a glass of wine, amazing views, and hiking.

Maroon Bells

Maroon Bells

You can no longer drive up to Maroon Bells but the Inn at Aspen can take you to the Maroon Bells shuttle (recommend booking the shuttle before, there are some same day reservations but they can sell out) . There are all different lengths of hikes if you would like to go on one or you can walk over to the lookout.

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Glenwood Springs, CO

There are a lot of great hot springs in the area. We often go to Iron Mountain Hot Springs, but there are also several others. We recommend booking it a couple days in advance because it can sell out.

Independence Pass Drive

The drive up Independence Pass is beautiful if you have the time. There are beautiful lookouts of the Continental Divide and fun hikes along the way
