a celebration of love

Expect the unexpected is what they say, but how could they have expected something so wonderful as this; a love so beautiful that started off as “hello”. January 1, 2016 is the day our story started. A simple introduction took place, between two strangers that have nothing in-common. Neil grew up outdoors in the fresh air of the Philippines, while Jennifer grew up in the fast pace of this city called Winnipeg. He works with students, while she works with patients. He’s interested in history, current affairs, and politics. She’s interested in sports, criminology, and love stories. He has experienced the things she has yet to see. He has gone through trials and struggles that she will never face. But with all the differences being said, their paths still crossed; but that’s all it was at first. Paths that crossed and continued to walk in separate ways. The year went on and they lived pretending that the other didn’t exist. Each time their paths crossed; a simple, “hello, how are you?” was all that was said. There are nights where their friends would gather together, and he would walk her to the car when she’s about to head home; they made it seem like it was nothing, but deep down, their feelings for one another started to grow. July 1, 2016 is the day the story took a twist. It was an unexpected memory that will forever linger in their minds. A day trip down to riding mountain is what started what they have now. Matching t-shirts sealed the deal. The day that started off our happiness but came with great obstacles and hindrances that we successfully overcame. August 10, 2016 is the day their story became alive. A birthday that became unforgettable. The day her heart became his forever.
