Marrakech Menara International Airport (RAK) is the main airport, and an easy 25 minutes to the heart of Marrakech. Most majour airlines fly to Marrakech, including American, Air France, British Airways, Delta, Etihad, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Qatar, Royal Air Moroc, Swiss and Turkish. To enter Morocco you must have a valid passport with at least one blank page. Visas are not required for visits lasting less than 90 days. Presently, nationals of several countries—including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the UK, the EU, and Canada—do not require a visa to visit Morocco as long as they have a passport with at least six months of remaining validity and a round-trip or return ticket. Check here to confirm your visa requirements prior to entering: https://www.acces-maroc.ma/#/ From gate to baggage and through immigration takes about an hour. We highly recommend that you book a taxi/transfer into the city in advance of your arrival, as Marrakech airport can get quite busy. The airport's website also has pre-booking options. Most hotels will pre-book your arrival and departure taxi. There are no Ubers in Marrakech.

Airport Transfers: As no Ubers are available in Marrakech, the best way to get to and from the airport is via a pre-booked taxi or pick up service provided by your hotel. Always check with your hotel in advance as most have shuttle service to and from the airport. Most hotels will provide pick-up waiting for you at arrivals, after immigration, holding a hotel sign. They will text you via WhatsApp. An economical alternative from the airport is ALSA Marrakech Bus 19. This shuttle bus travels from the airport to majour city points. https://www.alsa.ma/en/marrakech/airport Around Town: Taxis are the most convenient to get around, generally available 24hrs and safe. Ensure you are taking a licensed taxi, and check the license number displayed on the car if hailing on the street. Petits taxis: Readily available and operate on a meter, with a starting fare of around 7MAD during the day and 10MAD at night. Make sure the driver starts the meter as soon as the ride begins to avoid disputes. Grand taxis: do not use a meter, and the price should be negotiated before starting the ride. Drivers speak some English, but the main language is Moroccan Arabic (Darija), and French. Avoid confusion by showing your destination directly on Googlemaps, or load the route onto his phone. Tipping is not mandatory, but a token of appreciation of 5 to 10 MAD is common. Public Transport: Public bus services are available through ALSA's Tourist Bus system, a two-line network designed for tourists: The History Tour and Oasis Tour. These get you to and from Marrakech's primary attractions, including Kouboubia Mosque, Majorelle Garden and the Saadian Tombs. Tourist Bus tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours, and times vary by season. https://www.alsa.ma/en/marrakech/touristic-bus Walking: The only way to get around the Medina in Marrakech is by walking.
