Kevin is another one of Rohit’s close childhood friends. Growing up in Palo Alto, Rohit and Kevin made great teammates on the basketball court (8th grade champs!) and pick-up football field (QB-WR duo!). These days they enjoy a more competitive bond - Kevin went to Northwestern (U of I’s in-state rival) and the two have developed a budding ping pong rivalry, which they most recently reprised when Kevin visited Rohit and Neha in Chicago last fall.

I’m Neha’s big from her sorority. We met her freshman year and quickly bonded over our love of The Bilz and Kashif and pesto sandwiches. We had our share of adventures over the new few years - from a squirrel eating a dropped pickle to an emergency phone call during a bad date (thanks again Neha!) - and I wouldn’t trade anything for that time spent together. I still remember when Neha first met Rohit and he quickly become the topic of conversation on our Sunday afternoon dates. I had a strong feeling that they would be together for many years to come, and I’m so excited to stand by them as they take this next step in life together.

Rohit and James first met in middle school soon after Rohit moved to Palo Alto. They became close friends as classmates and teammates playing baseball together through high school. As graduates of Illinois and Michigan, they share a strong passion for Big Ten sports and also currently work together on a sports betting app.

When Anita and Neha first met they didn’t like each other but, isn’t that how every great friendship starts? Starting off with neighborhood walks to each other’s families questioning why they weren’t together, they’ve been inseparable! Having lived in separate states for the last 8 years, their friendship hasn’t wavered and Anita can’t wait for the next 80 years of time together but this time with Rohit around…as a permanent third wheel :)

Parth is one of Rohit’s friends from college. They first met through their fraternity, but became close friends when they lived together during their last year of undergrad. Rohit and Parth have a reputation of being fiends in Madden because they used to spend 10 hours a day playing Madden after class. Rohit and Parth are notorious for eating entire pizza boxes from Pizza Hut (one box is supposed to feed 4 people, but Rohit and Parth would finish it by themselves), quoting way too many lines from The Office and Narcos, and pounding beers like there’s no tomorrow.

The OG roommate. Sorry, Rohit. Picture this – two college freshmen walk into their new dorm. One, a small-town cattle farmer with no sense of anything but corn fields and wild hogs. Packed with a cooler of beef, a little wit, and 86 pairs of boots. The other, an east coast big-city girl, with a vegetarian diet and a wicked sense of smarts. Emily – there to show Neha you can indeed fry anything and you never can have too much sugar in sweet tea. And that dawn dish soap indeed does not go in the dishwasher. And Neha – there to answer Emily’s life’s most troubling questions leading to 314’s twitter trending hashtag #crapEmilysays. And that tofu and vegetarian chicken nuggets don’t taste too bad. And the two became roommates forever. And the best of friends. The rest is history.

Rohit and Austin became good friends in high school through both academics and athletics. They were baseball and basketball teammates in addition to writing for the school sports magazine and taking several math and science classes together. They spent the year before their senior baseball season throwing, hitting, and working out together several days per week, including at 8am on Saturday mornings, which felt very early back in those days. Austin recently visited Rohit and Neha in Chicago.
Bridesmaid
I’m one of Neha’s sorority sisters (her grandbig to be exact). I met Neha when she was just a freshman. We hit it off right away. And best of all we were part of the same lineage. Since I stayed later to do my Masters, we were even lucky enough to live together. Now that Rohit and Neha have moved to Chicago we can’t wait to create more memories with them in the future.
Groomsman
While Mike and Rohit met through sports, it was their bike rides to and from school every day for 4+ years that are most memorable; trips full of laughter, sports talk, and during their high school years, a wave to the same elderly couple every morning. Oh, and an occasional trip to the asphalt… for Rohit. They grew up nearly next door to one another, making becoming great friends easy.
Heavenly Dog of Honor
We wish Emma could be with us for our wedding day, but we have her pawprints on our hearts forever. We hope you are resting peacefully with tons of Greenies and frisbees, Miss Emma. 11/13/2008-2/12/2022.
Dog of Honor
The Ramkumar Family’s favorite four legged friend. I will eat anything I come across and use my cute face to beg. I enjoy barking at dogs on TV and cross country car rides where I take up half the back seat.
