A traditional pre-wedding ceremony where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom for its auspicious and purifying properties, accompanied by intricate henna designs for the ladies if desired. Welcome Party & Sangeet
What is it? We are doing our version of a welcome party, otherwise known as an Indian Sangeet! This is an energetic and festive pre-wedding event in Indian weddings involving music, dancing, and dance performances by family and friends to celebrate the upcoming union. What should I wear? Indian Ceremony
What is it? During this ceremony, sacred and elaborate rituals will be conducted according to cultural traditions, uniting the bride and groom in matrimony. An Indian wedding lies somewhere between the couple’s expectations and commitment to one another while also focusing on the blending of their family traditions. With many rituals and mini ceremonies leading to the main ceremony day, it binds the couple and both families for eternity. What should I wear? Christian Ceremony & Reception
What is it? During the Christian ceremony, the bride and groom exchange vows, rings, and participate in other religious rituals and prayers to solemnize their marriage. This will be followed by a party where the couple will have their first dance, cake cutting, a dinner, toasts, drinks, dancing, and more! What should I wear? This event is Black tie (tuxedos and full length American formal dresses).
