One summer day, we both logged in to our first day at school and realized something strange: we were the only two people in the class who lived in the Lower Mainland. Naturally, that meant one thing; we were destined to be best friends! What started with small chats and shared laughs quickly turned into something much deeper. Through hard times, stressful assignments, and everything in between, we became each other’s person. It wasn’t always obvious at first, it took us a couple of years to fully understand what we had. But once we did, everything just made sense. From navigating long-distance, to late-night phone calls and virtual Netflix movie nights, we somehow always made time for each other. We could talk for hours about nothing at all, and still feel more connected than ever. Even when life pulled us in different directions, our hearts stayed in sync. When school finally ended, our worlds came even closer together. We made vision boards, bucket lists, and started checking off dreams one by one. Life became lighter, brighter, and infinitely funnier when we were together. Every moment spent side by side felt like magic. Those are the memories we cherish most. And then one day, somewhere between the laughter and the adventures, we got engaged. It felt like the most natural next step, like something that had always been written in the stars.
