Save the date, we're getting married!

Caleb and Neelam met in May of '22 in North Carolina; Neelam was wrapping up internship-hunt blues waiting for May flowers, and Caleb was celebrating his niece's first birthday and then.... swipe! Pehli swipe mein kaisa jaadu kar diya, Caleb ka ban baitha Neelam ka jiya? Their first date, wo haseen mulaqat jo taqdeer ne likhi thi iss khaas din ke liye, started with a simple dinner and a movie, then turned into deep conversations that made him realize she was a keeper. The entire night was nothing less than a romantic Bollywood movie with rain and miles of strolling around UNC's campus, with the lyrics of "na jaane mere dil ko kya ho gaya" humming in her head. Soon Neelam had to leave for her internship to Texas, but they called each other every day. You know what they say about doori sahi jaaye na, it was 1300 miles of doori, but no distance is too long when it's real. Before they knew it, Neelam found herself at Caleb’s family's Thanksgiving dinner, where she fell in love with his warmth, his people, and a tummy full of Thanksgiving dinner. A trip to visit Neelam's family is still in the works, but Neelam was able to introduce Caleb to her family through their screens. Since then, Neelam has become a bridge for both joy and language, translating between her family and Caleb’s. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years; in the past three years, Neelam and Caleb moved to Minnesota, went to Mexico for their first trip together, experienced their first blizzard together, adopted two adorable cats (Neytiri and Nimbus), and recently moved once again, this time to Pennsylvania. Caleb and Neelam are very excited to explore what this chapter brings into their lives! Caleb and Neelam have come a long way, from his first attempts at making chai to standing by her through her darkest moments and from her watching football games with him to filling Caleb’s life with some of his brightest days. After a handful of outdoor adventures, a dozen Bollywood movies, and a lot of "character building" experiences, they decided to continue sharing these moments together forever. They got engaged on March 1, and have chosen to tie the knot on May 10, around their three-year anniversary. They have chosen a small, intimate celebration of their love. They will be hosting a dinner at Proof of Lancaster where they will exchange vows and rings to partner in marriage.
