Things To Do / Eat

Wondering what to do in Orlando? Here's some places that we'd recommend to anyone looking for good food, a good time, or both! We're so thankful you're coming in from out of town to join us, and we hope you have a great time in the city while you're here.

Outpost Neighborhood Kitchen

2603 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804
, (407) 930-6282

We love this place for weekend brunch, southern fare, and a great atmosphere. Plus, it's close by!

Harry P Leu Gardens

1920 North Forest Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 246-2620

An amazing 50-acre botanical garden that's full of beautiful sights. Definitely worth a visit!

Tako Cheena

932 North Mills Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 757-0626

Mexican-Asian fusion, maybe the best tacos you've ever had. This is our go-to cheat day food. (Sara loves the three-cheese arepa)

Lake Eola Park

Orlando, FL 32801

A beautiful place to come walk around, grab food, see local events, take pictures with a swan, or just relax on the grass.

The Thirsty Topher

601 Virginia Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 491-4342

Our favorite bar in Orlando. Craft beer, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere.

Orlando Science Center

777 East Princeton Street, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 514-2000

Spend some time walking around the beautiful grounds (art sculptures galore!) or check out the center itself for amazing exhibits and a great time.

Black Bean Deli

1835 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 203-0922

Delicious, addictive Cuban food. Highly recommend the half-sandwich platter -- every bite is amazing.

Sea Thai Restaurant

3812 East Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
, (407) 895-0985

Incredible thai food from a creative chef! We love their red curry, and we love trying the rotating specials. Naturally, must finish with mangos + sticky rice!

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

6000 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819
, (407) 224-2275

A little more out of the way, but -- unique, spectacular food. Ned recommends any of their burgers. Sara says the burgers and sushi are both good, but the burg-ushi combination is really where it's at!

Ethos Vegan Kitchen

601 South New York Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (407) 228-3899

Ethos is a really unique Orlando experience. Sara's favorite menu item is the Meatball Sub (or the Snickerdoodle cookies, soooo good)
