There isn't a specific hotel block for this wedding. We recommend hotels in the North Beach area, such as "Marriott Fisherman's Wharf" and "Marriott Vacation Club Pulse", or hotels in the Marina District such as "Hotel del Sol".
The closest airports are San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Oakland International Airport (OAK), and (somewhat further) San Jose International Airport (SJC).
The best way is to travel by taxi, Uber, or Lyft.
The most convenient way to arrive at the Golden Gate Club is by taxi, Uber, or Lyft. There is a parking lot at the venue. It is metered until 6PM (and free afterward). It costs about $5 or so.
Please arrive at 4PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 430PM.
Please, no gifts. We are trying not to accumulate physical gifts. The joy of celebrating our wedding with friends and family is what we look forward to most.
The suggested dress-code is semi-formal (cocktail/midi/maxi dresses and suits). Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in. This is just a suggestion of what most people will probably wear. Most outdoor areas are paved; shoes with heels should be fine, if you so desire!
The average high in September is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low is 58 degrees Fahrenheit. During the outdoor ceremony the temperature should be comfortable, but it is always wise to have something warm to put on if it gets cool. Rain is very unusual in September. In the event of rain the ceremony will be moved indoors.
The COVID protocol may change as the situation continues to develop. This is the current protocol. In order that everyone can feel the safest and most comfortable in attending our wedding, we are asking all our guests to take a COVID antigen test before arrival at the wedding. Taking an at-home antigen test is easy and fast, and you can purchase one from CVS, Walgreens, or Amazon for about $15. We are asking guests to please take a test even if they don’t feel ill or sick, since frequently in the first days of COVID people do not feel unwell. We recognize this is an inconvenience, but the wedding will feel most joyous if no one turns out to get sick afterward. Please let us know if you are having difficulty finding a test, and we can assist.
