Andrea and I met in 2020 when I came down from Washington with my pastors to launch a youth ministry. Andrea had just graduated high school. We served together in the church for years, and many interactions built up to our mutual crush. I tried to hint that I was into her before I shared my feelings so it wouldn’t be a surprise, but she was a bit oblivious. Over time, the pursuit began. I made many visits to the coffee shop where she worked, brought her small gifts of her favorite snacks, sent detailed encouragements over text, and made spontaneous phone calls masked as “ministry ideas”—all just to hear her voice. Despite all that, she still had no idea. Finally, on September 27, 2022, I asked her out for brunch and expressed the feelings I had built up over the past couple of years. She politely declined brunch but said coffee would be more appropriate. For months, I pulled out every card in the book, hoping to hear her say, “I like you too.” I donned my apron and cooked her favorite meals, rode roller coasters at Six Flags, hosted "Little Woman" movie marathons, planned extravagant dates, and more, all to communicate my love for her. After five months, on February 15, 2023, on a chilly night in San Francisco at one of our favorite restaurants, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. The months and months of pursuing her became more than worth it. Fast forward to today—join us for this next chapter of our lives; we simply cannot wait. Love, Future Camarillos
