FAQs

Got a question about our big day? We may have an answer. If your question or a similar question isn't included here, you can officially consider yourself to be a bigger overthinker than the bride! (Just kidding, send us an email at nearykingwedding2023@gmail.com and we'll answer you there.)
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you're going to be attending by December 15, 2023, so that we can provide an accurate head count to our venue.

Question

What is the dress code for this event?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail or semiformal, but don't let that curb your enthusiasm! Got a dress that you love but haven't had the chance to wear yet because it's just slightly too fancy? How about a light-up bowtie or a really fancy pocket square with ducks on it? We want to see our guests looking great but also having fun and enjoying their outfits, and as long as you're not wearing a white dress, go wild!

Question

What is the schedule for the evening?

Answer

The evening will begin with a short ceremony in the garden. After the ceremony is finished, light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided while the bride and groom take some newlywed photos. The reception will begin around 6:30pm with dinner and music.

Question

What refreshments will be served?

Answer

Dinner will be catered by Publix. Additionally, we will be serving small bites and cupcakes. If you have a food allergy or other intolerance, please let us know when you RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Will alcohol be served at the reception?

Answer

In line with our personal preferences, no alcohol of any kind will be served at the reception. Additionally, we request that attendees do not bring their own alcohol due to venue restrictions. We appreciate your cooperation!

Question

Do you have a registry? Where can I find it?

Answer

Yes, we do have a registry embedded in this website! On the top navigation bar, choose the Registry tab. Since we already have many of the household items that are traditionally found on wedding registries, we have opted to include a few household items as well as cash funds to be used for a down payment on our first house and adding to our fund for Ellie's future. Additionally, we have an Amazon registry at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/nearykingwedding2024. If contributing to an online fund or ordering from a digital storefront is not your style, we will also have a collection point at the reception for cards and other gifts.

Question

Can I bring a date (or my kids)?

Answer

We have structured our guest list to include only the guests counted on each invitation in order to meet venue limits. Please check the seats reserved for your party to determine if a plus one or children have been allotted to your party. Alternatively, use the RSVP function on this site to determine if other individuals have been allotted to your party.

Question

What if it rains on the day?

Answer

While a rainy day is not ideal, we are confident that everything will be just fine. The venue has a covered pavilion as the reception area and the ceremony can be moved indoors in case of rain.

Question

What is there to do at the venue?

Answer

Rockledge Gardens has a lovely covered pavilion that will be our reception venue. The ceremony will be held in an open air lawn just outside the pavilion in the garden. Additionally, there is a smaller side lawn area that has fire pits and lawn games, and the entire garden will be open to roam through during the event.
