Getting to CA

The Wedding Website of Jillian Neal and Nathan Irish

Flight

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA)

Your best bet is flying into Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). It’s only about a 30–40 minute drive to the Santa Ynez Valley. From there, you can rent a car, snag a Turo (our fav), or grab a shuttle/rideshare. Easy breezy. There is a small airport right in the Santa Ynez Valley, but flights there are usually much more expensive, so SBA is the way to go for convenience without breaking the bank If you’re hunting for cheaper flights, LAX is another option, but it’s about a 2.5-3 hour drive to the valley.

Travel Note

Driving from Phoenix!

For our Arizona crew, yes, you can road-trip it! The drive from Phoenix to the Santa Ynez Valley takes about 8 hours (roughly 500 miles). It’s a straight shot through the desert with some pretty views along the way. If you’re planning to drive, we recommend leaving early, building in some snack/stretch stops, and maybe even turning it into a mini adventure. Parking in the valley is easy, and having your own car will make exploring wineries, cute towns, and the wedding festivities super convenient.

Rental Car

Turo

If you’d rather not rent from a traditional car company, Turo is a super easy alternative. It’s basically Airbnb for cars! You can rent a car directly from local owners, often for less than standard rental rates.
