Whitney arrived at work, expecting this day to be like any other. Little did she know that her destiny would soon be walking in the door and down the hall past her office. Neal had traveled the world and had many adventures, yet he had not found the one person who he wished was by his side to share in these experiences. ——— Through twists and turns, Whitney and Neal finally had their first date. They realized that they had the same taste in books and movies, they both loved soundtracks, the arts, and museums, and they were born exactly one week apart (Whitney is older, in case you were wondering). They also shared a love of furry companions Neal having two cats and Whitney having a cat and a dog. It truly felt as though it was meant to be. ——— As is often the way life goes, Neal started a new job in Florida, and the relationship became long distance. There were concerns that perhaps the distance would be too much to keep the couple together, but that would not be the case. Whitney and Neal lived by telephone calls, Facetime, Snapchat, and frequent flights back and forth. ——— The couple decided that they no longer wanted to be separated by distance and on December 25th, 2019, with a glorious sunrise peeking out over the ocean, Neal told Whitney that he loved her, wanted to be with her forever, and asked if she would marry him. Whitney, as I’m sure you can guess, said yes.
