We’re Getting Married!

As a Deputy in Delaware County Monica got to know many of the other law enforcement and firefighter’s throughout the county. Monica became fond of the group of firefighters at Liberty Township and became friends with many of them. She didn’t know Neal as well as others but knew him none the less. She mainly knew him as the big, bald, nerdy guy who gave hilarious gifts to his coworkers at Christmas time. She also knew he loved to travel and was one of the few people who knew what Pradar Willi Syndrome (the genetic disorder her oldest son has) was. One night she made a trip to the firehouse because she was having chest pain. Matt Bowman, one of her closest friends there hooked her up to the monitor and called Neal to the medic since he was the expert. Not long after that Neal and Monica became single. Being the match maker that he is, Matt Bowman started this ball in motion. Dating began, which lead to a relationship, which has led to this wonderful event that you all will get to share with us.

While on a mini vacation in Key West, Neal had smuggled some jewelry on the plane. The first morning they were there Neal handed Monica a small little gray bag that contained a beautiful ring. Monica looked at Neal and asked if there was something Neal wanted to ask her. Neal replied, “wanna get married?”
