Maricel & I met online through a mutual brother-in-Christ who attends my church here in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was friends with Maricel on Facebook, and he knew she was looking for a husband and I was looking for a wife. In his words, "The LORD just laid it on my heart one day to introduce these two." I sent her a greeting on FB messenger on Sunday, February 9th, and the next morning she responded. We hit it off almost right away, and our daily text messages soon graduated to video calls that would last for 2-3 hours twice a day, morning and evening. (Maricel currently resides in Espoo, Finland, which is 10 hours ahead of my time zone here in Las Vegas.) By April we were officially a couple and by the end of May we both mutually agreed to get married in November when we would finally meet face to face in Bohol, Philippines! Throughout our long distance courtship God has led every step of this unusual journey, and we're both excited to finally meet at the altar on November 26th and say our vows! We're looking forward to all that God has planned for us in our new life together, and we give Him all the glory and praise for answering both our prayers when he brought us together! Amen!
