With all of the uncertainty mounting with the pandemic, we decided to make our marriage official in a (socially distanced) front porch wedding, with just Neal's mom and dad and Lisa's son present. We had hoped we could still celebrate in September, but we've made the difficult decision to cancel so that we can keep each and every one of you safe and healthy. Until we meet again....sending love! <3
After many left swipes, we found each other in the Tinder sea. Once we matched, we had some wonderful phone conversations where it was clear there was a connection. We were talking on the phone for hours at a time like two high school kids :) Then we decided to have our first date (Neal skipped DnD that night, so he was clearly excited!). When I opened the door and saw him standing there with flowers, I knew that this one was something special. We had dinner at LBM (our favorite spot now), and the conversation never stopped. And the rest was history. <3
Like most couples these days, we discussed marriage & engagement beforehand, so I knew that it would be happening, but not exactly when. The day after an especially magical Christmas, we decided to walk our pooch, Rocket, together. Just as we were getting started, I complained about my sock falling down and Neal offered to fix it for me. I tried to just get him to hold Rocket's leash, but he insisted. As he knelt down to fix me up, he looked up and was like, "Well, now that I'm down here..." and he took out the ring! He managed to completely surprise me (which, if you know me, is not an easy task). And just like that, we were engaged! One of the sweetest and happiest moments of my life so far <3
