Question

What is the Gambian Celebration?

Answer

Gambians love to party! In lieu of a post-wedding brunch, we will have another reception-style celebration with dinner, drinks, and dancing. There will be both Gambian and American food available. Kids are welcome! There will be a reception at the wedding on Friday, so do not feel pressured to attend both :)

Question

What's the money shower?

Answer

The money shower is a West African tradition that involves us dancing in traditional Gambian dress while you shower us with cash. It symbolizes a showering of happiness & good fortune. Bring plenty of 1's (or dollar amount of your choice) to participate in this fun tradition

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

This was tough, but we have decided to only include children who are related to us. Friends- we love your kids, but we thought you might appreciate a night off. That being said, we don't want that to be the reason you don't attend, so please let us know if this poses a problem!

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

We want our wedding to be lively and colorful! Please come dressed in your favorite vibrant semi-formal / cocktail outfit.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking available on-site
