Axel and Patricia were educators at Millwood Elementary in Oklahoma City, OK. Axel was the Robotics Instructor and Patricia was interested in helping out with the club. Through learning algorithms and building robots, they became great friends. The rest is history!

Axel asked Patricia to join him on a trip to Paris for his sister's wedding. In secret, Axel was coordinating his proposal with Patricia's mom at the Palace of Versailles. This was a special location for the couple, as they are both intrigued with and often binge watch shows from the 17th century. While taking a stroll in the Versailles Gardens on November 29, 2019, Patricia's mom popped up as the first surprise. The second surprise was Axel on his knee asking Patricia to become his wife.
