But what truly caught Nikia's eye was his amazing smile and the excitement she could sense through his texts – maybe it was all the exclamation marks! Nikia, an avid runner and Peloton superuser, had just been talking to one of her besties about wanting to meet a guy like her favorite instructor – all that positive energy, but much taller. When she saw Nick's profile, she knew she had to meet this mysterious man who had seemingly attended 17 weddings that year alone. For their first date, Nick left the Golf at home and made the journey from Saratoga to Santa Cruz in his M3, arriving late in a casual Luka Modric Legends sweatshirt. Over three hours of drinks (and no food), Nick chatted nonstop – though Nikia would never hear him talk that much again. The real magic moment came when he discovered she was also Croatian. He considered proposing right then and there. The night ended with Nick surprising Nikia by going in for a kiss. From that moment, they both knew they'd found something special – so special that Nikia agreed to go to Croatia for 35 days with Nick just a few months later. It was the true test, 35 days in Dubrovnik, where Nick was clearly trying to seal the deal. P.S. Opel, Nikia's Vizsla, was a big part of the package.
