We recommend taking a tour with this company through the waters of Manuel Antonio National Park. Snorkeling is an option that is commonly included. You will likely see dolphins and maybe a whale if you're lucky. This is in Quepos, about a 1 hour drive from Jaco.
Destination of the hike is called El Miro. Trailhead starts on the east side of the intersection of Ruta Nacional Primaria 34 and Calle Madrigal.
Jaco beach is the largest beach that we recommend spending time at. There are lots of opportunities to take surfing lessons, buy souvenirs, fresh coconuts, and of course spend time in the water. Just find a place to park along the closest main street or alley. We've never had to pay for parking here.
One of the smaller beaches in the area. Parking is not free, as this beach is a little more exclusive than Jaco beach. Pay cash for parking, price is negotiable as always. We like this beach because it has a little less traffic compared to some of the larger beaches in the area, and it is within walking distance to Manuel Antonio National Park.
