Bhavan: In February of 2023, I was on MANY dating websites. I had never dated an Indian girl. I came across a profile for a girl named Navi. I thought to myself, an Indian girl and she’s cute. I liked her picture and she liked mine back. Navi: I scrolled through Bhavan’s profile and thought that he looked like a nice, handsome man. So, I matched with him! Bhavan: As we were messaging back and forth getting to know each other, I shared my phone number with Navi and asked her to go for coffee with me when I was back in Orange County. Navi: I waited a few days before texting Bhavan. When I messaged him, little did I know I was in for a huge surprise. Bhavan: When she texted me, she put her full name “Navika”. I thought for a moment, “Who is Navika?”. I realized it was Navi from Hinge. When I saw her full name, I called her and said, “Hey, is that your real name?”. She said that it was. I responded with, “I had a friend in high school with an ANNOYING little sister that had the same name”. Navi: That’s when I ask him what his friend’s name was. He responded with my brother’s name, Chirag. Right away it hit me that this was the same Bhavan that would come to my house to work out and hang out with my brother. Bhavan: That was the beginning of our love story. Here we are getting married…Bhavan and Navika!
