The Haldi wedding ceremony is a radiant ritual steeped in cultural significance and joy. This pre-wedding event for close friends and family, marked by the application of a turmeric paste, symbolizes the cleansing of the bride and groom's spirits and the infusion of auspiciousness into their upcoming union. The golden hue of the turmeric, coupled with the lively festivities, creates a festive atmosphere that celebrates not only the couple but also the rich heritage and familial bonds.

Sangeet

The Sangeet is where the party begins! This musical night is a celebration of the union of not only the couple but the bonding of both families, and is meant to bask in the happiness and excitement of the upcoming wedding. The Sangeet involves singing, dancing, mehendi (henna), and lively music that is sure to keep you on your feet all night. Be prepared for choreographed Bollywood songs performed by Navi and Raman's closest friends and family!

Ceremony (Vivaha)

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Formal attire: Mid to floor length dresses or sarees/lehengas in bright or pastel colors for women. Suit and ties or tuxes for men.

Vivaha is a Sanskrit term that translates to 'marriage' and is considered a significant rite of passage, in Hinduism. It represents the sacred union between a man and a woman, marking not only the beginning of their married life but also their responsibilities toward each other and their families. The Baraat (also known as the groom's entrance parade) will begin promptly at 3:00 pm, followed by the ceremony at 4:00 pm. We ask that guests arrive before 2:45 pm to allow time for parking. Please note that after 3:00 pm the entrance to the venue will be blocked by the groom's entrance parade.
