We worked at AMC together while Jacob was home for the summer. He thought I didn't like him at first, but then we got along great and would have fun working in concessions together. I always admired how he went out of his way to be kind and helpful to the elderly as well. I was sad when he had to go back to school because I realized I really enjoyed his presence. So, when he came back for labor day weekend I couldn't resist asking him to come see a movie with me. We saw Suicide Squad and talked all night long in the parking lot!
Jacob took me on a date on July 11th, and we recreated our first date. Little Italy, and then walk around Centennial Park. When we went for a walk, I noticed he specifically wanted to go a certain way instead of following the path. I thought, "oh is he gonna propose on the bridge or something?" But we went past the bridge into the garden (which I had no idea existed even though we've been on dates here) and he proposed under a pergola covered with tons of greenery. And then the photographer popped up and I really thought she was a random person who noticed what was happening and wanted to capture it! And then I saw Jill crawl out of a bush and knew that all this must have been planned! I was so surprised! No, I didn't exactly know I was gonna get engaged that day but I had for sure hoped it would happen.
