Nav & Katherine met through mutual friends playing kickball on the same team. In December 2018, Nav asked Kat out on a date and they went to a local bar, got tacos & drinks, and went salsa dancing. To this day, they still go salsa dancing together.

Nav asked Kat to marry him in September 2021. Kat had mentioned to Nav that Horseshoebend was one of her top places she wanted to visit. Nav gifted Horseshoebend tour tickets for Kat's birthday and that is when his planning to propose began. Nav asked one of his groomsmen, Kelvin to come along to take photos and videos while Katherine did not have a clue what was going to happen. Nav told Katherine he wanted to record a video of them dancing salsa on the edge. They danced salsa to one of her favorite songs and at the end of the song, Nav got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Kat said "YES"
