We met while studying at The University of New Orleans. We were both in the accounting program, and we both were members of the Accounting Honors Society. Once we were both officers of the school's chapter, we became fast friends, and soon transitioned to seeing each other. John likes to say we met when leading the nerd club. After we started seeing each other outside of school and accounting we became close and John finally asked for a first date.

We had started the process of building our house with the intention of being engaged before we moved in together. As the months went by, John had not yet proposed. The days went by, and we close on the house. Nattaya was suspicious that John was saving the proposal for their annual vacation with his family in Massachusetts.
