From the moment Nathan laid eyes on me, he knew he was in love. Just kidding… can you tell who's writing this? :) We met during our freshman year at Utah State University in good old Reeder Hall. Nathan just so happened to be roommates with my cousin—so naturally, that's how we met. Our first official hangout was at a bowling alley with friends, where I proudly scored a solid 27 points. Takes skill, I know. We started spending more time together after that, mostly watching movies every night with our group of friends. I'd like to say I made the first move and asked Nathan out, but he insists it was him. Either way, he finally picked up on all the not-so-subtle hints I was dropping and asked me on our first real date. We made gluten-free chocolate chip cookies and painted each other's faces—yes, it was as fun and messy as it sounds. After months of dating, I left on an 18-month mission for my church. When I returned, I visited my sister in Utah, and Nathan and I made plans to reconnect. Our first post-mission date was in April, and soon after, Nathan officially asked me to be his girlfriend (again). We spent the fall semester together at Utah State while Nathan quietly saved up for a ring. At the start of the new year, we went ring shopping so he could pick out the perfect one—with just a little help from me. :) Then, in March 2025, Nathan took me back to the spot where we had our first date after I got home from my mission. He got down on one knee and probably said something sappy, but honestly, I was too excited saying “YES!” to remember it all. We’re so excited to start our forever together!
