Start at the Circle and wander. Browse the antique shops, explore the historic streets and make your way to the fountain in Plaza Park, where Nathan proposed. While you're exploring Old Towne, stop by the Army Navy Store and look just outside for Nathan's Coast Guard military appreciation banner.
Check the Angels schedule while you're in town or stop by the team store. Baseball has become one of our favorite ways to spend a night together.
An old-school Orange favorite and one of our go-to spots. Check the music schedule, order a dirty martini and stay awhile. His Order: gin martini slightly dirty with olives Her Order: vodka martini very dry dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives
Fans of Huell Howser can visit the permanent California's Gold exhibit and archives at Chapman University's Leatherby Libraries, just a few blocks from the Circle. A wonderfully California way to spend an hour.
Head up the hill before sunset, order a drink and take in one of the best views in Orange County. We love this spot for celebrations or a quick drink. Fun fact: we dined here for our 1997 Homecoming Dance dinner.
For the car people. A nearby collection of exotic, historic and racing cars. This one's for Nathan.
Enough said. Interestingly enough, we've never actually been there together.
One of our favorite places when we just want to feel at home. Somehow everything on the menu is good, including the things you wouldn't necessarily expect to order at a Mexican restaurant. Choose the restaurant side or grab a seat at the bar, play a little Keno and settle in.
