We’re Getting Married!

Nate and Halle met at Fugitive Beach on May 23rd, 2020 at 17 years old on their first day as lifeguards that summer. What started as a summer job quickly turned into a friendship built on mutual respect, shared ambition, and afterwork spike ball tournaments. Both were dedicated athletes — Halle to basketball and Nate to wrestling — and they quickly bonded over their work ethic and competitive nature. Somewhere between their shifts at the beach and Fourth of July weekend, that friendship turned into a crush. And yes — Halle made the first move. By July 15th, they were officially dating and became high school sweethearts. After graduation, they both went on to compete as Division I athletes at different schools. Going from seeing each other every day to four years of long distance was their biggest challenge yet. But through busy seasons, tough goodbyes, and a lot of miles, they continued choosing each other. On May 23rd — exactly five years after the day they met — Nate got down on one knee and proposed. They can't wait to celebrate their love surrounded by all of the people they love most!
