We first met when we were 16 & 17 years old. On Facebook of all places! I thought he was cute so I sent him a message saying hey, and that was it! We hung out the entire summer of my Junior year, his Senior year of high school. You know how young summer romances can be, and we went our separate ways right when school started a few months later. Even then I felt he’d made an impact on my life, and he really was my first “love” I’d never forget! Life goes on, we each move through life and life experiences over the next 8-9 years. We were both in a very broken time in our lives when once again, Facebook played a role in us reconnecting after almost a decade! This time, HE was the one who decided to reach out and he wished me a happy birthday, then just like that we were back in touch! Over the next few months we reconnected like best friends who hadn’t missed a beat. We both had a hand in “healing” one another, and fixing broken pieces that we didn’t make, and becoming whole again. It was almost like a warm “home” feeling. It just felt “right”. Later that summer, we decided to hang out after work one night and as soon as we saw each other it was like we were seeing each other for the first time again. And we both knew that that was it. Our search was over, and we were each others future. We have had our ups and downs over the last few years and it hasn’t always been easy! No matter what obstacle came our way, we always pushed through it together, as one. I was blessed with a beautiful bonus daughter, and met her when she was 3. Then we welcomed our little surprise baby girl the next year!! Together we have grown a family, established and conquered goals, and overall have thrived together. I’m beyond excited to finally get to marry my best friend, and become Mrs. Jewart ❤️
