Bundle up for an amazing outdoor light display! This became a ticketed event - tickets go on sale in October, $5 each. The Joffrey Ballet
Go see The Nutcracker, a December tradition for Alison & her mom! In December 2019, Alison and Nathaniel had no idea they were BOTH surprising each other one weekend. Alison planned for her & Nathaniel to see the show with their moms, and Nathaniel planned to propose the next night.
Millenium Park Ice Rink
There is also ice skating through the "ribbon" in Maggie Daley Park, right behind The Bean & this ice skating rink.
Macy's
Formerly known as Marshall Fields, this storefront & so many others downtown take pride in creating festive window displays. Plenty of hot chocolate & treats to grab while you warm up throughout your walk.
Au Cheval
Nathaniel's favorite burger! This place infamously does not take reservations, BUT West Loop is a great neighborhood to explore after you have put your name in. Unless you show up at opening, claiming to be on Eastern Time for lunch!

Community Tavern
Family & chef owned, it is our favorite restaurant because it is walking distance from our home! If you ask Alison about it at the event, or any time at all, she won't be able to stop gushing.
