I noticed Nathan used to sit by himself on the bus, so one day, I decided to sit next to him. He was the new kid, and I wanted him to have a friend. I started asking him questions — where he came from, what kind of music he liked — just little things to break the ice. From then on, we started sitting together during breakfast. He didn’t say much at first, but I talked enough for both of us (lol). After school, we began walking around our hometown almost daily. There was this red building we used to hang out at, and I’d just yap to him about anything and everything — he’s always been a great listener. Eventually, he warmed up to me and stopped being so shy. Before long, he was cracking puns about everything we saw. We officially started dating on October 12, 2015, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Over the years, we’ve explored so many places together — from Washington State to San Antonio, Galveston, Mississippi, and New Braunfels. Along the way, we’ve visited Mount Rainier and Olympic National Park, screamed our hearts out at Six Flags, wandered through Moody Gardens, splashed at Schlitterbahn, and floated the Frio and Guadalupe Rivers. We’ve gone on countless dates and celebrated life’s milestones surrounded by family and friends. And now, as we prepare for our wedding day, we’re also celebrating nearly a decade of love — our 10th anniversary is right around the corner! We’ve grown up together, traveled far, and built a life we love — and now, we’re planning our next big milestone: buying a home of our own. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
