We first met when we sat next to each other by chance in a full auditorium during study abroad orientation. After discovering that we were both traveling to Denmark, we exchanged numbers and met up for dinner in Copenhagen. We lost touch for the next two years until we ran into each other at college and discovered we were both working on applying to medical school. We also both happened to be attending Electric Forest Music Festival the following week. After meeting up at the festival, we were inseparable. We spent many late nights helping each other apply to med school and then decided to take a road trip to Colorado together just a couple months later. This trip is when we first hiked to Odessa Lake, the place where we will say our vows to one another.

Nate worked with his mom, sister, and brother-in-law to surprise Erica at High Rollaway, a beautiful overlook on the North Country Trail, in fall of 2021.

We will be exchanging our vows privately in a self-solemnizing ceremony on June 1, 2023 in Rocky Mountain National Park. We can't wait to celebrate our love with everyone once we come back home!
