Yes! We’re so excited! The Cherry Blossom is an authentic recreation of a 19th century Victorian riverboat. Our ceremony will be on the top deck while the boat is docked, and the reception will begin as soon as folks move downstairs and our wedding cruise sets sail at a luxurious 5mph propelled by an actual paddle wheel! Once we set off there is no turning back until the voyage is complete. Please plan your evening accordingly if you intend on attending the reception. Please note that you must use stairs to move between decks; there is no accessible alternative.
Please RSVP by August 8th. We need to have the final passenger list confirmed with the Cherry Blossom a month ahead of time.
Our dress code is semi-formal, so if you'd like to go all out in an evening gown or tux we'd love it! Or if you'd prefer a cocktail dress or jumpsuit, suit or button-down shirt with a tie, those are wonderful choices too!
4:45pm is when boarding will begin. We will be docked for the entirety of the ceremony, so if you're running late, the boat won't set sail without you! If you would like to leave after the ceremony, you may do so as well.
There is no parking lot directly associated with or adjacent to the Cherry Blossom, so you'll need to park at a nearby garage and walk to the wharf. While the location is technically 0 Cameron St, it's probably easiest to head to the Torpedo Factory (105 N Union St, Alexandria, VA 22314) to find the wharf behind it. Once you're facing the Potomac River from outside the Torpedo Factory, follow the wharf to the left. You'll see the Chart House seafood restaurant on the left. Keep walking past it and you should find the Cherry Blossom Riverboat, a yellow and white three-story sternwheeler.
The Cherry Blossom Riverboat does not have any associated parking lots. There are pay for parking garages very near the wharf - please see the travel tab for more information.
Yes! Please let us know on your rsvp what your dietary restrictions are so we can let our caterer know.
No, once we depart from the dock after the ceremony, the four-hour cruise will not dock again until 10:00pm. There will be announcements of our departure from the dock and if you need to depart after the ceremony at around 5:45pm, you may do so, as the entire ceremony will take place while we are docked. But once we depart, there's no going back.
Children included on your RSVP page are welcome. Please watch them closely on the boat!
