We recommend taking the train from Milan to Varenna in Lake como. You can purchase train tickets online at trenord.it or in person at the physical ticket machines.

Once you arrive to Varenna by train you have to take the ferry to cross the lake to Tremezzo. This is also the best way to get around the lake. You have to book tickets in advance or purchase at the station. To check times the timetable is on the website
