We were both new to Seattle when our paths crossed. Nate joined Cut Both Ways after finding them on Craigslist, he had been playing with them for six months when their bassist Lauren meet Snaedis at a mexican restaurant where they both worked at the time. Snaedis got invited to go see Lauren perform at The Real Art in Tacoma and that's where she first saw Nate, after a long shift a couple of days later Snaedis happened to mention to Lauren she though the guitar player with long hair was cute. Lauren gave Nate her number and after talking for two weeks Nate asked Snaedis out on a date, they went to the Dough Zone in the international district and had soup dumplings. The rest is history....
Nate's plan was to propose to Snaedis in August in his home town Petoskey, but after buying the ring in February Mark the jeweler at Kay jokingly said that he wouldn't be able to wait and he would eventually jump the gun. A month later there he was proposing. At midnight on the fourteenth of March in their bedroom Nate recreated the moment he told Snaedis he loved her for the first time, with Oreos. He shoved an Oreo in her mouth and got on one knee. She said yes.
