It all started back in 2019 when we were just two teenagers, 15 years old, living in different cities—Skylar in Apple Valley and Nathan in Barstow. We were introduced through a mutual friend and started talking on Instagram. What started as casual conversations quickly turned into something deeper. Before we even met in person, we knew we had something special, and so, we became a couple. Our first date came three months later. It was simple, sweet, and everything we needed it to be. We met at a park—Nathan’s grandma drove him from Barstow, and Skylar’s parents brought her from Apple Valley. They both waited in their cars while we had our first moments together, just two kids falling into something unforgettable. Nathan even brought his scooter, which was adorable, and we spent the day laughing and making memories. Our love wasn’t perfect, but it was real. We broke up for a while—almost two years. We needed time to grow, to become the people we were meant to be. And when we found our way back to each other, we knew. There was no one big "aha" moment, just a constant, quiet knowing. Skylar moved to Barstow at 18, ready to fight for the love we had always dreamed of. We're like two peas in a pod—so similar it drives us crazy sometimes, but in the best way. Skylar is the loud, take-charge one, always lighting up the room. Nathan is the calm, steady presence who lets her shine while being her biggest supporter. We balance each other perfectly, and we’ve never stopped having fun together. Then came the proposal—March 23, 2025—a day we’ll never forget. We were visiting family, having dinner at Norms, then spending time with Skylar’s grandparents at their hotel. When it was time to leave, Skylar noticed we were taking a completely different route. Confused, she looked up to see her family jumping out of a car ahead, and suddenly, her grandparents appeared too. As we walked toward a beautiful setup at Silverwood Lake, with the Twilight soundtrack playing in the background, Nathan got down on one knee and asked Skylar to be his forever—with everyone we love there to witness it. Our journey has been crazy, adventurous, and full of love. We’ve grown up together, and now we get to grow old together. We can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
