In September of 2023 we went on a family trip to Europe with the McCallion family. This was my first time to Europe, and after a dreamy two days in Paris we headed to Gran Canaria, an island off of Spain to meet with Nathan's family. After spending a few fun days exploring the island all together, Nathan planned a nice dinner for the two of us. The dinner was absolutely perfect, with the sun setting looking over the Atlantic ocean and the best food and wine. We headed back to our villa, after entering I turned around mid sentence and Nathan was gone, but I see a note on the floor asking me to head to the rooftop of the villa. As I walked up the stairs I heard our song playing, my stomach dropped and when I reached the top of the stairs I see Nathan in the center of a hand picked flower heart with the whole family gathered and mine on facetime. Tears streaming down my face, Nathan asked me to marry him, and it was the easiest YES I'd ever said. I was truly surprised and could not have asked for a more special night!
