Nathan and Shannen’s story began in 3rd grade at Atherton Hough, where Nathan boldly asked Shannen to be his girlfriend. (as Shannen loves to tell everyone) Shannen, with all the confidence of an 8-year-old, said no. Life moved on, and so did Nathan, but fate wasn’t ready to let their paths completely diverge. Years later, they reconnected, rekindling their friendship with a spark of flirtation that neither thought too much of. Throughout high school, even as they explored their own paths, there was always something pulling them back together. Finally, in 2020, after years of crossing paths and parting ways, they made the choice to stay together for good. Now, 15 years after their first fateful interaction (or five years of officially dating), they’re about to say, "I do." A love story built on persistence, timing, and undeniable connection.
