I met Nathan at Church camp, but I won his friendship at youth group. Our friendship has been defined by corny jokes, rap battles, nerdy conversations, and epic levels of shared love and wisdom.

A hug started it all! I met Nathan at teen camp. I saw him. Ran up (I was younger then) embraced him, picked him up, put him down, looked at his face, and then wondered who the heck is this guy. Our first meeting was unintentional. I thought he was someone else completely. I spent the next few days avoiding him. But eventually we became friends. In the hardest time in my life Jon Ditmore suggested Nathan would be a great person to talk to. In my grasping for anything to make me feel better I took that advice. In no time at all Nathan became my best friend, brother, and soul mate (sorry Sarah I was here first). I am honored to stand up for this man and honor vows he makes in front of God and everyone. I am not giving him away though…. Just sharing!

I met Nathan while studying abroad in London where together we explored, stressed over finals in the kitchen, and he helped me grow in my faith. Our friendship grew over the course of that year and continued back in Malibu. From D&D, small group, and randomly seeing him around campus, every get together was a fun one. I’m beyond excited for him and Sarah!!!

I have known Sarah for so long I can't quite remember how we met. If I had to bet on it though, I would say it was the elementary school bus. Then once we joined classes in third grade, our friendship was forged forever -- despite Sarah's difficulty in responding to text messages. We share a love of reading, Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls, baked goods, and much more. I currently work in healthcare marketing and spend my weekend hounding Sarah to get coffee.
