We can't wait to celebrate our love with you

After both ending long term relationships, we matched on Bumble thinking that a few dates would be fun. Nate says he knew we had something special before we had our first date and Sam says she knew after the first date that she was in trouble. Although neither of us thought it would turn into anything serious when we matched on a dating app, we both knew the connection that we had was something special and something to hold on to, even if it was scary. We met in January 2020 and started officially dating in March 2020, a week before the world shut down! We were both getting our graduate and doctorate degrees at the time and had no idea that we would be quaratined together for over 100 days at the very beginning of our relationship. Sam went to visit her cousin in Colorado for her spring break, but when her returning flight was cancelled due to COVID, Nate drove across the country to spend an extra week in Colorado and drive both of us all the way home. After our spontaneous vacation, we were stuck inside with just the two of us for 3 months! To this day, we both agree that those 100 days were our favorite days, even though we were isolated. In July, we moved in with Sam's parents due to the pandemic leaving us as unemployed, fresh graduates; in August, we adopted our puppy, Nugget; and in October, Nate proposed! It has been a whirlwind and an adventure all in one, but we can't wait to officially become life partners as husband and wife. The true adventure is just beginning!
