It all started with tacos and tequila on April 7th 2024. Rachel arrived late to the first date of course (Herrera-Time) while Nate was already waiting and on time (Military-Time). Rachel noticed a shaggy-hair guy wearing a hat standing with no shame holding long-stem gladiolas! As Rachel walked towards Nate and he first set eyes on her, he was simply stunned, blown away at the sight of this beautiful bombshell, Rachel took Nate’s breath away. As they greeted each other and first embraced, he was head-over-heels, won over by her authenticity, charm, and lighthearted spirit. Rachel quickly recognized Nates humbled demeanor, his olive skin tone and an endearing shyness. Together they ate tacos and shared their similar life stories while sipping their favorite drink of tequila. They decided dinner was not enough so they made their way to Downtown Chandler and from there they owned the night. Going from a Mexican cantina, to a country bar, to a hidden underground speakeasy and in those moments, they didn’t have a care in the world. They ended the night on a dance floor (Yes! Nate danced). The night was fun and light. They didn’t care about what was to come, but Nate was clear with his intentions of wanting to see Rachel for their next date. Nate and Rachel met later in life, but God’s time is always right on time. They have been blessed with the rare gift of finding true love, experiencing more together in the last seventeen months than many do in a lifetime. Since that first God-given night, they have traveled across the country, living every moment to its fullest, enjoying countless adventures along the way.
