We did not reserve any blocks, however, we did a quick search and there are many resorts, hotels, really nice air bnbs for cheap this time of year. The venue is near downtown Mesa, and most activities will be near East Mesa, but Phoenix is very well connected with it's highways, so anywhere will do.  Gilbert has great options for air bnbs.
