Question
Will your wedding celebration be a religious ceremony?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass and we are excited to have our guests of all religions celebrate with us! If you do not want to attend a Catholic Mass you can join us for our reception starting at 4:30pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Madison East. If you are attending our Nuptial Mass and are not Catholic, we just ask that you do not receive communion as this is reserved for practicing Catholics who have been through their First Holy Communion. Thank you again for celebrating with us!

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Answer
Both the church (Immaculate Heart of Mary) and the reception venue/hotel (DoubleTree by Madison East) have large surface parking lots. We ask that our younger and more able-bodied guests park in the back of the lots so our older relatives and those with mobility challenges can park closer to the entrances. There is also availability to utilize Uber or Lyft in Madison if you are planning to drink and are not staying overnight at the hotel.

What should I wear?
Answer
We want our guests to get fancy with us so our wedding will be cocktail attire! That could be a suit or slacks and a button up shirt with a tie. It could be a cocktail, midi or floor length dress. We want everyone to feel their best! Please do not wear white as that is reserved for the bride.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. We have both lived in the midwest long enough to not trust the unpredictability of Wisconsin weather. That being said, we hope for beautiful weather that can be enjoyed to snap a few pictures or enjoy the fresh air throughout the day.

When do I need to RSVP by?
Answer
Please help us out by submitting your RSVP by May 1st, 2025. Our vendors need our final counts and we want to make sure we are prepared to celebrate on the big day. If we have not gotten an RSVP by May 1st, 2025 we will assume you are unable to attend and we will miss you greatly!
Question
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Answer
Our entire reception will be peanut and tree nut free. If you have a different dietary restriction we ask that you please list that on your RSVP so that we can ensure we have made those accommodations for you.
