We're Getting Married!

Our story begins well before we were born. Nathan's mum, Michaela, was visiting California. During her stay, Michaela found Maddie's mom, Allison, and the two became inseparable for the year. When Michaela was back in England, they both made an effort to keep in touch, visiting each other and exchanging many a letter. Fast forward to 2015, Michaela took her whole family to California for her birthday. They met up with Allison and her family in Lake Tahoe, CA. Maddie and Nathan met on the front porch of the lake house and talked the whole night. They kept in contact for 6 months through texting and facetime. Finally, Maddie took a leap of faith and flew to England to visit the Squires and see if this was really something. Jan 1, 2016 everything was confirmed with a kiss!

After over a year of separation due to COVID-19, Maddie flew to England to be reunited with Nathan. They quarantined together until finally, they were able to rejoin real life. They went on what would be a typical date night: pizza and the beach. As they park up along the cliffside of Woolacombe Bay Beach, Nathan asks Maddie to pop open the trunk of his van. As she opens it up, she sees the van glittering with fairy lights, adorned with pillows and cushions, and a picnic basket with their favorite foods. She turns around to see Nathan on one knee.
