The first time I ever saw Nathan was our fish year in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. In January 2019, Nathan and I were both in a group of friends that went to Hurricane Harry's - College Station's little country dance hall. The two of us didn't even talk that night, but there is one photo that we're both in from that trip to Harry's. Two years later, we crossed paths again after a post-Thanksgiving Texas A&M football game. It just so happened that Nathan and his Corps outfit were assigned to live two floors below me and my Corps outfit in the same dorm that year, so Nathan's hallway had the laundry room. That weekend of the football game, I had procrastinated on doing my laundry, so I walked into his hallway after the game and his friends were hanging out and struck up a conversation with me. Since we were both lived on the Quad, in the Corps dorms on campus, Nathan and I ended up taking many walks around campus and talking about all kinds of things. A&M and the Corps played huge roles in our lives and helped both of us grow into the people we've become, eager to serve God and our country. As we walked around that campus, we began to realize how much we had in common (and that we very much enjoyed each other's company). It was a few short weeks before Nathan asked me on our first official date, and the rest is history!
