Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
When I was in 6th grade, I had a school sleepover at this zoo where we spent the night under the shark tank! I highly recommend this zoo, especially if you enjoy feeding stingrays or seeing a giant zoo! You won't be disappointed, even though it's an hours drive from Lincoln.
Sunken Gardens
This sunken garden is a beautiful location for thinking, reflecting, and viewing some gorgeous blooms. :)
Holmes Lake
This lake is a huge part of the Lincoln climate and culture. There is a playground for the kids, a 2 1/2 mile walk around the perimeter, an amazing sunset view, fishing docks, and open green space for anything you please. I have loved running the lake with friends countless times and taking my guitar out for some solo time in the green spaces. This is such a peaceful space!
Lincoln Children's Zoo
Our local zoo... I haven't been there lately, but they are definitely worth checking out. They are adding new tigers, giraffes, and spider monkeys in May so it's definitely worth a go!
