About Us

Kennady - Kennady grew up in Sandy, Utah. She is the oldest of 3 kids in an adventurous family. Kennady loves boating, dancing, skiing, eating, going on walks, and cheering for the University of Utah - Go Utes! Her favorite memory of Nate is when he asked her to be his girlfriend. She surprised him with a date to the Lantern Festival in Toole, UT. They spent time walking around, taking photos, listening to music, and eating at the festival. After they watched a beautiful sunset, it was time to prepare their paper lanterns for take off! Each lantern kit included a lantern, a lighter, and a marker to write on the lantern. Nate and Kennady wrote each other flirty messages back and forth on the lantern. The conversation ended with Nate asking "I know this is your date... but will you be mine? (girlfriend hehe)... :)" Kennady quickly replied using the marker, "YES I WOULD LOVE TO!" They enjoyed their first evening as a couple under a magical sky of floating lanterns. Nathan - Nathan is from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the youngest of two older sisters. Growing up, Nate enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and spending time with friends. His favorite memory with Kennady was when they went to California with his family for the Fourth of July. They walked on the beach, went shopping, enjoyed many gorgeous sunsets, and watched the Legoland firework show outside of their hotel room. It’s important to note that this was last summer just after the new Top Gun Maverick movie (Nate’s favorite) came out, so being in San Diego was a bonus. The couple - Kennady and Nate's story starts in Lake Powell. Kennady spontaneously invited Nate's friend group to Lake Powell only after hanging out with them one time! They joined the Kasteler family in early May of 2021 for the trip. They spent lots of time surfing, swimming, playing spikeball, soaking up the sun, tubing, eating, and playing games. The first few days of the trip Nate was pretty flirty with Kennady. Kennady was oblivious, or so she acted, until her mom pulled Kennady aside to point out what was obviously going on. The more Kennady paid attention, the more she fell head over heels for Nate! The rest of the trip was spent with the two on cloud 9! Kennady's favorite memory of that trip was talking to Nate for hours on the paddle board and before bed. She also remembers how quick Nate was to assist Kennady with anything she needed. Nate's favorite memory from the trip was going to a large red rock late at night to take pictures with Kennady and her brother, Easton. They took headlamps and a jet-ski and took off in the mysterious, dark water towards the rock. The three of them could not stop laughing as they took the pictures and it was a great time.
