It all started with a TikTok like all great modern love stories do. One of us ( guess who ) was posting TikToks just doing their thing and the other? Well, he was liking every single one. We're talking full-on supporter mode. Every day it was one after another like, like and like again. No comment, no DM, just a double tap on the screen. Naturally that caught some attention. On his birthday (yes on his birthday), a snapchat friend request came through. He accepted it (don't let him fool you). No "Happy Birthday: message, no grand gesture- just an add. Cool, casual, mysterious. But obviously effective because he accepted it! He sent a snapchat so did I, it went on for a little while. (Having no clue we actually knew each other) He eventually asked if she would want to drive an hour to go on a date. She told him that she would have to ask the business manager (the one in her head yes, that little voice that talks to you) but the manager only work 5 minutes out of the year and she wasn't sure when she would be back but she will make a call. ( yes this is all playing out in her head and this man probably is thinking she is crazy) a few minuets later she said yes to going on her first real date where she was asked by a man. This date took place on September 7, 2024 at Santa Fe in Fort Payne. Nothing fancy just two people. She ordered chicken fingers (who would have guessed) he ordered a steak. They did not touch a basket of rolls nor did they get an appetizer. They talked about their childhoods and where they grew up. Little did they know, he knew her family and she knew his. They had the same high school friends, went to the same parties, lived across the street from each other but who would have thought that TikTok like, the snapchat add would have landed them at Santa Fe in Fort Payne an hour away from where they both grew up just minuets away from each other.
