FRIENDS ARE THE FAMILY WE GET TO CHOOSE.

Nathan Louis Demers

Groom

Heather Leigh Muller

Bride

Stephen Bernero

Best Man

Steve and Nate met in Ohio at Air Force basic Civil Engineer Officer course in 2010. Their friendship took off whilst bonding over their awful west-Texas assignment locations. Between motorcycle rides and adult beverage consuming (never at the same time) they became good friends. When Steve decided to join EOD, he convinced Nate to do the same. They were roommates together for a year while attending Naval School, Explosive Ordnance Disposal. Steve’s follow-on assignment in Georgia and Nate’s in South Carolina, enabled them to spend some more time in Florida between their respective deployments riding motorcycles on the East coast. FUN FACT: There is probably no one in the world that has more adult year stories of Nate.

Laura Humen

Maid of Honor

Laura and Heather grew up within walking distance from one another, but didn’t meet until they both started serving at Chunky’s in Nashua. They both attended the University of New Hampshire. Who knew a Business Major and a Biology Major would become the best of friends. In May of 2014, the two became roomies for a few months when Heather moved back from Florida and started working in Foxboro, MA. When not working, the two can be found drinking wine, laying on a beach, pretending to be princesses in Disney World, watching Frozen, and traveling the country. Laura is the type of friend everyone deserves in their life. She is the type of friend who teaches you how to love with everything you have, hold on tight to friendships, and always "work hard, play harder".

Nick Erickson

Groomsman

Nick and Nate go way back. They’re cousins! Nick's mom Debbie and Nate's mom Lucie are Nadeau sisters. Nick and Nate were blessed to live in bordering towns while growing up, and spent time together at frequent family gatherings and at Millsfield Pond Camp. Nate even crashed Nick off the back of a fourwheeler once, thus learning the very big difference between “go” and “NO!” Nick also attended the University of New Hampshire, and arrived as a freshman when Nate was getting ready to graduate as a Senior. The cousins also share a strong bond as Nadeau family members who’ve served in the military; most recently Nick in Syria and Nate in Afghanistan. FUN FACT: Nate’s 22nd birthday party at college was one of Nick’s first nights drinking and also the last night Nick ever drank Bacardi 151…

Kayla Demers

Bridesmaid

Kayla and Heather met for the first time at a restaurant in Boston, MA. Heather had just started dating Nathan and wanted to meet his best friend and favorite sibling. The relationship between Kayla and Nathan is greater than most siblings experience in a lifetime. Heather loves watching them interact and give each other a hard time. Heather and Kayla have only known each other for a few years, but have been calling each other sissy since the proposal. Kayla is the type of friend who teaches you the value of “family comes first”. When it comes to her family and friendships, Kayla loves and gives with her whole heart. Heather is thankful for a sister in-law she would choose as a friend. She is also thankful for Kayla’s savvy fashion sense to help her over the years!

Nick Reed

Groomsman

Nick Reed and Nate spent four years together in ROTC at the University of New Hampshire. The two guys also spent almost every class together as they both graduated as Civil Engineers. Nick and Nate overindulged in silver bullets, Kingsbury Hall library time, and UNH dining hall food. Nick continued his education at UNH for another semester, and honored Nate by asking him to commission him into the Air Force in December of 2010. Nate also had the pleasure of being a groomsman in Nick and Tara's wedding in 2015. FUN FACT: Nick piloted an aircraft across the US at the age of 16, and during college the guys would fly up and down the east coast in Nick’s plane.

Kristi Schuda

Bridesmaid

The Disney College program brought Heather and Kristi together. In August of 2011, Kristi and Heather were part of a Facebook message with 3 other girls all talking about living together during their internship. Kristi mentioned “Heather, if you’re down for rooming together, this sounds like a great group to live with!” Kristi and Heather continued as roomies after the college program ended and they stay with Disney. When not hanging out with Mickey Mouse, the two can be found eating hummus, cheese, and triscuits while listening to country music and catching up on life and love. Kristi is the most fun-loving and adventurous friend. She is selfless and fearless. She is the type of friend who teaches you how to live your best life every single day.

Eoghan Kelley

Groomsman

Eoghan and Nate spent many years together in the small town of Randolph, New Hampshire. Separated only by a quarter mile, the two guys chased tad-poles and frogs and played video games for much of their young lives. That is, until Eoghan went to Catholic school and Nate’s mom didn’t want Nate playing video games anymore. Luckily, Eoghan came back to public school for high school and the two guys were Varsity Soccer Co-Captains together, and produced some AMAZING video class productions together (i.e. GoPed2 and Peter Poors Grave). The guys were roommates together for their Junior year of college at UNH, and Nate was a groomsman in Eoghan and Danahs wedding in 2012. FUN FACT: No friend has known Nate longer.

Erin LaRue

Bridesmaid

Erin is one of Heather’s oldest friends. They've known each other since elementary school. They became best friends in a place they call the “blue room” – a back guest room in Erin’s house where they would tell every single secret, cry about all of the boys, and talk about one day getting married. When not updating their AIM profiles or pretending to be on Laguna Beach, the two can be found talking about love and how much they love it. In June of 2013, Heather was lucky enough to stand by Erin’s side and watch her marry her best friend Dan. Erin is the type of friend who will love and support you no matter what. She is the type of friend who teaches you how to show compassion and live your life with gratitude.

Max Reuning

Groomsman

Max and Nate also spent four years together in ROTC at the University of New Hampshire. Instead of doing something easy like Civil Engineering, Max decided to take on the crazy challenge of electrical engineering. While the Max and Nate still saw each other in Kingston Hall library, Max was usually doing work while Nate spent more time on Facebook. Max lived nearby in Florida where Nate and Steve were going to EOD school, so Nate would spend every Sunday over at Max’s house watching the 5-time WORLD CHAMPION New England Patriots win football games. Nate also was honored to be a groomsman in Max and Kelly’s wedding in 2014. FUN FACT: Both Max and Nate have giant man-crushes on Tom Brady. Max so much that he named his adorable son Jack Brady Reuning.

Kelli Brown

Bridesmaid

The Disney college program also brought Kelli and Heather together. The two were roommates throughout the program and years after it ended. They lived in four total apartments together from August 2011 through May of 2014. Kelli is currently working for the Disney Cruise Line and is always down for a Florida visit when Heather needs her Disney/Florida fix. The two will forever be in their early twenties…well, they wish. When not riding the Rockin’ Roller Coaster, the two can be found going out in Downtown Orlando, making frequent stops at McDonald’s for Kelli’s hamburger meal, going to the beach, or fast passing the Tower of Terror. Kelli is the type of friend you can always laugh with. She is the type of friend who teaches you to never take yourself too seriously never stop having fun.

Kyle Fuller

Groomsman

Kyle first met Nate over lunch at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina on Nate’s first day into town in 2013. Nate and his dad had just arrived, and Kyle played tour guide to all that Sumter, SC had to offer (which wasn’t much). At the time, Kyle was doing Civil Engineering, while Nate was doing his first EOD assignment, Eventually, Kyle too went off to Florida in his search to get “crabs”. Kyle and Nate spent a couple bro outings golfing in SC and GA, and Nate was also an usher at Kyle and Kelly’s wedding at the Citadel in 2016. FUN FACT: The 1st time Nate ever met (then girlfriend) Kelly, Kyle lost his wallet on a tubing trip the week before taking an assignment in Italy. Kelly worked tirelessly for a week helping him get his life back together. Nate told Kyle then that she was the one!

Valerie Milley

Bridesmaid

Heather and Val met when they were both paired as counterparts for Splitsville and Howl at the Moon. After a crazy new store opening, the two were inseparable. The “Heather & Val show”. In October of 2014, Nathan was about to deploy, but wanted to meet Heather before he did. He showed up at Splitsville for their very first date and sat at the bar waiting... Heather was back in the office shaking and freaking out and Valerie was trying to calm her down. When not online shopping, the two can be found getting Dunkins, traveling to Vegas, drinking prosecco and having deep conversations over lattes. Val is the type of friend you were born to meet. A “good for the soul” friend. She is the type of friend who teaches you how to take care of yourself both mentally and physically.
