Maid of Honor
Hallie and I met the first year of university when we had dorms across the hall from each other, and obviously it was the best so we lived together all four years of school! Hallie is my best friend and so many of my favorite memories are silly moments with her. It means the world to be standing next to her on their big day
Best Man
Hey, I’m Josh! I’m Nathan’s (twin) brother, best man in the wedding, and the better golfer between the two of us. If you don’t find me on the river fishing, you’ll likely find me hiking or camping in the mountains. I’m excited to be celebrating Nate & Hallie’s wedding, and hope everyone has a great time as well!
Bridesmaid
I’ve known Hallie since the day she was born!! My first little sister and my first best friend. We’ve been through it all together, and watching her grow from that funny, thoughtful, wild little girl into the strong, intelligent, kind, and truly incredible woman she is today has been the greatest gift. Seeing how happy Nate makes her, how effortlessly they bring out the best in each other, brings me so much joy. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Nate into our family, or more proud to stand by her side on this special day.
Groomsman
I met Nathan Boone first year of university. Much like a mother bird takes a chick under her wing, I nurtured and helped Nathan grow into the great man he is today. After meeting at Kings University, we decided to move to Victoria and begin at UVIC, we were roommates for 3 years until we both graduated, and finally he’s ready to leave the nest and fly. Atta be Nate.
Bridesmaid
As the youngest (and obviously favorite) sister, I’ve had a front-row seat to the protective, confident, beautiful force that is Hallie (especially when it comes to anyone who’s ever hurt my feelings, they never stood a chance). If you know Hallie, you know she was never going to fall for just anyone. Nate brings out the best in her and doesn’t just complete her but he adds this calm, goofy kind of joy that makes her even more herself. Fun fact: I took the very first picture of Hallie and Nate together, so technically, I started this love story. I couldn’t be more excited to welcome Nate into our family and stand by my big sister on the day we’ve been dreaming about forever. Love you both!!
Groomsman
I’ve known the handsome groom for almost two decades now. Nate chose me as his first non-biological roommate for freshman year —wahoo! I guess I studied too hard and wasn't fun enough, because he bailed after two short semesters in Edmonton. He eventually landed in Victoria for school, where he met his future wife… so in a way, I’m kinda responsible for this whole beautiful occasion. That's neat!
Bridesmaid
Hallie and I first met in Grade 9 playing soccer together for our local team, and what first began as a connection as teammates has grown into a lifelong friendship. From high school memories to now being roommates for over a year, Hallie has been a constant in my life and someone I’ve always been able to count on. I’m so lucky to call her one of my closest friends, and I couldn’t be more honoured to stand by her side on her wedding day.
Groomsman
I met Nate through a mutual friend many years ago, decided on a whim to move in with him and here we are. I’m on the island for Engineering at UVic but I grew up on the mainland. The outdoors is my favourite place to be, be it surfing or camping thats where I love to spend my time
Bridesmaid
Hallie and I have known each-other since high school. Our friendship grew stronger in grade 12 and I’ve been greatful to have her in my life ever since ! I am so excited to celebrate the big day and can’t imagine a more perfect couple !
Groomsman
It is a truly great honor to get to be a groomsman at Nate and Hallie’s wedding. As a longtime roommate of Nathan’s, I am excited for Hallie to get to know him as I know him. Dishes get left in the car to avoid washing them, and the spatula is permanently covered with egg residue. On the bright side, you will save on sunscreen, because he does not believe in it. But as I always say, if you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much! Best of luck to the happy couple.
Bridesmaid
Hallie and I met in high school and played on the same soccer team. She was the cool new girl and I have so many great memories in school, on sports teams, at parties, and after graduation with Hallie! I remember visiting her in Victoria after graduation with Amy and Savannah. Hallie toured us around Uvic and was so passionate about the campus and her classes and I remember it gave me such a sense of comfort and she made me so excited to move down here myself ! She is such a smart and ambitious person and genuine and supportive friend! I am so honoured and excited to be a part of her special day !
Groomsman
Matthew met the bride and groom when he moved into Nate’s Victoria home to replace another one of the groomsman. Although, Matt and the couple have unknowingly crossed paths quite a few times in the past few years.
